I have been a member of TAC for over twenty years, winning the
club trophy several times and serving as President.

My preferred medium is water based oils, but I also work in pastels, pencils and water
colours. Subjects vary from portraits, still lifes, landscapes, urban scenes, animals, particularly dogs. Really anything that takes my fancy. Commissions can be challenging but I enjoy that.

The highlight of my artwork has to be winning the Parkinsons U K Art Award in 2015 with
the painting titled ‘Dancing While We Still Can’. This involved award ceremonies in London and having the image projected on a building in Kirkcudbright for World Parkinsons Day.

Art has opened doors to new friendships and is a large part of my life.
